BORN A GENIUS – PART ONE
Last Saturday I had the honour and privilege of launching my new keynote … ‘Born A Genius’ … at the 9th Annual Women’s Empowerment Event for PPPC (Promotional Product Professionals of Canada). As always, it was an amazing event with a record number of incredible women in attendance!
I would love to share with you a couple of the key ‘Born A Genius’ messages I delivered!
A lot of people think of ‘genius’ only as a rare phenomenon found in a few gifted individuals – a term applied to a brilliant scientist like Albert Einstein, a master artist like Picasso, or a musical virtuoso like Beethoven.
In reality, each and every person is born with an inner genius which can release inner forces enabling us to accomplish far more than we ever believed possible. Like snowflakes and fingerprints our genius is completely unique and our own!
When we were kids we gravitated to our genius naturally … we embraced it … we owned it and we showed it off to the world … whatever it was … because we were young , free spirited, and free from fear of judgement.
Then as we got older and started to go to school … fear of judgement, criticism, fitting in,and bullyingcrept in … as did the thoughts and desires of our parents, our teachers, our siblings, our peersand our caregivers.
We were kids … so what did we do? We listened … we trusted … we believed … and we changed!! We started to conform … we started down the dangerous path of living the life that was expected of us!!
Stay tuned for next week’s blog … ‘Born A Genius continued’ to find out how to rediscover and reconnect with your inner genius!
